Sunday at The Palm

Join us Sunday at The Palm to support US Senator Paul Strauss as we unveil the Palm's newest cartoon caricature honoring DC's own shadow United States Senator Paul Strauss.

Yes, you heard right, Senator Strauss is about to be immortalized in full color cartoon glory on this classic Steak House wall with such iconic cultural figures as Beatle Bailey, Popeye the Sailor, and President & Mrs. Obama. The caricature tradition began in 1926 when the original Palm Restaurant opened in New York City. The owners were short of funds for decorating, so they invited cartoonists from the nearby offices of King Features Syndicate headquarters to paint on the walls and in return receive a meal.

This will be a small and intimate gathering featuring the Palm's signature steaks, chops, and other specialties of this classic steak house which has become a DC landmark.  Guests will enjoy a VIP reception featuring a memorable meal courtesy of the Palm's chefs.
